I think it’s real important to have a place where you can have materials prepped and ready to go on the hook. If it’s easy to tie a fly, you’re probably going to tie a fly.
This weekend, I am a couple hours north of home in the mountains. Because I put together a minimal set of tools and materials, the whole tying area can come with me. With a couple of trips coming up, I will knock down a dozen chubby chernobyls while I am here.
